[Well, he'd meant sharing where he got the information from rather than the information itself, but Kanda isn't in the habit of clarifying or correcting himself, so he simply looks at Caelus as he speaks--expression neutral and emotions muted, save for the soul-deep weariness he can't ever fully shut away.

There are a lot of things he could say in response to Caelus's words. But he isn't one to defend himself, either, nor is he particularly interested in parading around the people he talks to just to prove a point. And asking why the hell do you like me when I've done nothing to encourage you would just invite a conversation he doesn't want to have with a conclusion they've already reached. So, he simply waits for Caelus to finish, then turns to resume leaving the area.

He has more than enough of his own heartache. He doesn't want to wallow in someone else's.
