For a little while, Kanda can be found... near the spring!!! Incredible!!!!!
But don't get too excited because he didn't go into it. That much is pretty obvious; at some point he half-assed a bandage wrapping on his wrist, but otherwise his skin is still cracked all over, as if he might break apart again at any time. His exorcist coat is off with Mugen resting on top of it, and he's turning a woven hair cord over in his hands as he stares at the wall, lost in whatever thoughts he's having.
He glances over when he spots Caelus, though he doesn't say anything; it's hard to tell if he even saw Caelus at the house earlier, given how disoriented he'd been after waking up.]

[ believe it or not but he wants to the blood tree first this time. also believe it or not, caelus is carrying a first-aid kit. ]
It's okay if I patch you up, right? If you won't use the spring.
[ caelus is a criminal who reads people's mail. has an idea of where the woven hair cord came from but not its exact significance. ]

You can't. [He holds up his hand to demonstrate; part of his wrist crumbles and breaks off, revealing hardened blood underneath. Gross.] It's--[A pause, and then he changes what he was about to say.]--an effect, or something. I guess.
[Not something a first aid kit can take care of, he thinks.]

If it wasn't fine, I'd be dead already. [Bluntly. Not angrily, but with a hint of warning in his tone.] It's just how my body is. Leave it.
[He won't leave unless Caelus pushes too hard, but his patience is even thinner than it normally is, right now. A warning is the best he can do.]

although it's not so much directed at kanda than at facing another situation where he's helpless to do anything. at best/worst, he could force kanda into the spring, assuming the man has been sufficiently weakened, but they'd never talk again after that. the minuscule progress caelus has clawed for would disappear. ]

Does it hurt? I have a numbing agent in the kit. Can you carry Mugen? If it's too heavy right now, I could use your coat and bring it to your room.

This is acceptable, though; the fussing is annoying, but it could be worse. Even so, he raises an eyebrow. Caelus is the one who told him not to go anywhere unarmed, so:]

[He would've thought Caelus would appreciate that he's camped out by the spring for once instead of just fucking off to the woods or the blood tree or whatever]

But by this point he's pretty sure his body isn't going to get any worse than this, and his room has a door with a lock, so. He watches, unflinching, as his wrist pieces itself back together, then ties his hair up with a sigh.]
Fine. Let's go.
[He'll carry Mugen and his coat himself, but Caelus can walk with him. Fortunately, he doesn't seem to be in pain from this effect (though, granted, it's kind of hard to tell with Kanda)--he moves a little more carefully, but otherwise, very normal.]
