I'll go with whatever works best. [He'd accept using the stones if that's a greater guarantee of success. He doesn't know a lot of things beyond being on the frontlines, but he's not so battle-thirsty that he needs to tear them apart himself.] But anything we do will affect the other four. Most of you wouldn't agree to sacrifice their lives, and they don't want their heads messed with.

[So it's kind of like. What do they do, then, beyond trying to stop them on their own?]

We're using the machine to get home. Two stones to rescue whoever's left. At least one to reset time, maybe more. [I don't think we ever specified how many for choosing certain points in time, though I might've missed it.] Even if we used the four that it would take to get our abilities back, that would still leave two.

[And if the time adjustments cost more, they'd have wiggle room for that; if they chose not to unlock their powers and dealt with the cult with the stones instead, they'd have close to six to work with. He's certainly not an optimist, but they do have room to consider options, even with their nonnegotiable spending choices.]

I realize how selfish it is to want to pick a battle that others will have to fight. But I think this does leave us with the most options.

Even if my powers are restored, I'm not a very good fighter. I would have to rely on others to do most of the fighting.
