[ what's up!! our happy graveyard town (was it) is now a foggy hellscape with monsters lurking in the shadows. and shadows lurking in the shadows. this one is just looking to see what kanda is up to, though.

is he doing any prep for tomorrow or is he just off being kanda somewhere... ]

[sixillusions]

[He is doing... Kanda-style prep!! She can find him either at the dojo practicing his sword forms, or around town, fighting some of the monsters that have shown up and started wandering around. Even though they'll supposedly be de-nerfed very soon, he wants to make sure he's in top form in case something goes wrong, and he needs to fight like this.

He'll pause when he sees her, though, and nod at her. Hewwo sweet Kate]

[ she stops as she sees him taking down one of the monsters. ]

Ah... there were monsters out here, too?

[ there's a little pang of apprehension, and she stops a little distance away. ]

Yeah. They just started showing up.

[UNLESS THEY'VE ACTUALLY BEEN AROUND THE WHOLE TIME AND I FORGOT TO READ but I don't think so apart from like. Pyramid Head and Big Daddy but those are different.]

These are the only ones around here for now. But keep an eye out.

[ though there's still a part of her that feels a little uncomfortable about seeing monsters getting cut down. it's a little too easy to imagine herself in their place. ]

You haven't been hurt, have you?

[He shakes his head, carelessly wiping his sword off on his pant leg. It's fine. He'll do laundry.

He shakes his head.]

No. [But it shouldn't matter by tomorrow anyway.]

Oh... right. Your healing. Does that not have limits, though?

[ please do your laundry. ]

[sixillusions]

It does. [She saw that firsthand, even if it was wonky. Does not tell her that it's slower than it used to be.] But if we hit that point, we'll have much bigger problems to worry about.

[sootprints]

Okay. True.

[ she's basically driving herself nuts by fretting over tomorrow, and the blunt, straightforward answers are actually a little reassuring. ]

I wonder if we'll end up fighting the monsters that the cult's been summoning all this time. As I understand it, they should be somewhere...
