I wanted to make sure you were okay after you left in such a rush. Not that I expected you to open up to me or anything as silly as that. That you were willing to entertain me for as long as you have told me you'll be fine.

[He'd been distracted enough by the conversation for them to settle a little, but there's a twist in his emotions at the reminder--a sense of discomfort that he ignores.]
