[Stuff!! Stuff and things!!!

Kanda's immediately back in his normal clothes, with a second long coat over the first one and a sheathed sword in his hand. His hair's tied up in a ponytail now, and he seems... not relaxed, actually, but more comfortable. The robes are definitely just thrown on the ground and he's going to leave them there, rudely.

Hilariously their conversation was the nicest one he had all day yesterday, so even though he isn't often the type to strike up conversations, he'll glance over and nod when he sees her.]

It's undamaged. [His sword, he means. Now they can get out of here as soon as the monsters show up! (No they can't)]

[ why is he wearing two coats. that's hilarious. meanwhile ashlyn is wearing a white t-shirt and white shorts. and combat boots. it's fine.

Good. I've seen a lot of people getting their weapons back, so that's a relief.

[They will probably easily cross paths in their avoidance of other people tbh. He's still got his sword because he carries it everywhere all the time.

What a good question, though. He contemplates for a minute, settling on--]

[So, he finds it hard to believe them, even though he's pretty sure they're not the people he thought they were (and thus are less concerning).]

[I'm guessing the posters are a magic byproduct of their haunted town but it would be so funny if the other npcs drew them

I was going to say that they technically don't know these are true and accurate, but if the fire went all weird and everything else then Kanda's probably going to assume it's true until proven wrong.]

We'll have to find them fast. [Before someone tries to fucking resurrect them]

Week 0, Saturday

[I NEED TO MAKE IT SO CLEAR THAT I, PIXI, LOVE ASHLYN AND AM DEVASTATED TO NOT BE PLAYING SWEET LOVING KAVEH OR BIG BROTHER CHILDE RIGHT NOW INSTEAD OF STINKY RUDE KANDA!!!!

Stinky rude Kanda who immediately went to the barrier to try and take Boothill out and obviously failed at doing so. Damb. But after that, he'll be off sitting somewhere quiet with his sword beside him, brooding. Instead of the words on his back, right now (and it would've been during trial) his ink tattoo is a number in the low thousands on his arm. Wowie]

ash is peering at those numbers first before approaching. but then she'll come stand next to him.

i also need to apologize because she's kind of pissy but also won't just say so and still wants to touch base. so her tone is a little clipped even though the words are just. the way she always talks. she also always talks kind of clipped because she's rude. help. help. ]

Week 1, Monday

[HEWWO ASH... I think about how Kanda would have no interest in these new locations but I'm forcing him to be here anyway

He's still in his normal exorcist wear like a boring person, but he is at the farm!! She can catch him taking a break in the shade, petting the dog... there are a few pumpkins next to him, freshly picked! He glances at her and nods in greeting, something I will only be able to type for the next week. Bless.]

[ ash has changed into a big t-shirt and some athleisure sweatpants, thank god. but she'll wander over and crouch down to pet the dog, too. ]

Week 1, Friday

He can be here on the beach a little longer! Maybe they're both coming back from their invests actually. WHICH I GUESS MEANS NEITHER OF THEM HAVE SEEN THE POSTERS YET unless she left and came back, it's up to you

[ okay at first i was like wouldn't it be funny to just have 1 thread tonight that's not emo because it's before she's seen. but no i think she'd be too stressed knowing she needs to go look.

[He controlled himself just for you Ashlyn are you happy (he didn't) (maybe he did? We'll never know)

He'll either be standing guard near the pyre, keeping an eye on the barrier like he did last week--or he'll be out in the woods, running through his sword forms like he does almost every night. They can just chill quietly if Ashlyn wants to, though he will pause and look over at her whenever she wanders nearby... she can have a nod of greeting!! Incredible.]

Week 2, Monday/Tuesday

[Oh lordy

Kanda is going to hate this week and will do his best to avoid everything and everyone, but there are only so many places he can hide, especially since they both prefer quiet. Sooner or later, they'll run into each other, and Ashlyn gets to see a memory.

CWs include human experimentation, child torture, body horror, violence, mass murder, attempted suicide; if you want me to pick a different memory just lmk!! This is so long. I'm sorry.]

ashlyn is just quiet, even for long moments after the memory is over. all his intensity about being an exorcist and about innocence are a little more confusing now. in her head she kind of imagines other worlds with magic as these kind of—harsh, dangerous worlds, but ones a little more full of adventure. not... human experimentation.

she's so bad with words. she never knows the right things to say to anyone. ]

... That's horrible.

Week 2, Thursday

[Well after he's done with Lavi he will come to the swamp to see if she is better or if she drowned in there ASHLYN ARE YOU ALIVE]

[ she is alive! and resting nearby. her leg no longer has a hole in it! her stomach isn't bleeding! but she still has scratches across her face and chain marks around her. ]

Week 2, Sunday

He is still heavily injured from yesterday since he's a swamp anti so it'll probably be easiest to find him in the house if she wants to come looking for him on purpose, otherwise she can find him sitting by the fire after he bullies Lavi to help him get out there. He's not wearing his Exorcist coat for once; instead he's in a soft cardigan, and she can probably see the bandages peeking through. Either way he's deep in thought, but he'll nod at her in greeting when they cross paths.]

[ she'll nod back at him and then wander over to stand nearby. quietly for a moment, then: ]

The swamp sucks, but it's kind of worth it.

Week 3: Monday

[ we are... spins a wheel... exploring the academy. the room with crystals and gems seems almost nice except. there are teeth. on the floor. why. ]

I didn't think I'd say this, but I liked the gas station more.

[He is easy to find!! He's been parked by the pyre pretty regularly since after execution; he's still bundled up in multiple layers with a blanket over his shoulders, and every now and then he struggles to breathe, but otherwise he seems, like. Fine enough. This sucks but it could suck way worse, so. He'll deal with it.]

He is swamped!! He's cleaned up and back in his normal clothes, with his exorcist coat buttoned up. There's light burn scarring on his face, plus his left ear is missing, but he's not bleeding out on the floor, unfortunately. I TRIED. TCH.

She can find him hanging out by the pyre before curfew!! His golem is just hanging out with him, staring at him with its big ol' eye as he frowns down at his foot.]

Week 6, Wednesday

He leaves the party to change his clothes and then comes back to hover awkwardly for a while, because dying didn't make him any better at socializing. He doesn't go too far, though; he's not interested in the vineyard, so he can be found wandering around the market. Like everyone else, he's ghostly and mostly intangible--he's also missing his ear still. I'm going to keep forgetting about that. It's fine. His hair is down anyway.

When he sees her, he nods at her. Hewwo.]
