For a while, Kanda can be found hanging out near the spring! He doesn't go into the water, but he is being responsible and staying near it, at least until he's certain that his body isn't truly in danger of shattering. He would really rather not die for the second day in a row, even though he's so wary of these pools and their effects.
Aventurine can find him there if he wants, or he can just come to his room? Despite how closed off he is, his door is perfectly accessible. I don't even know if the exterior doorway area can be customized but even so.]
Assumes Aventurine just knows which one Kanda's door is. He'll knock to announce his presence and then push open the door which i am saying is slightly ajar because once he's knocked, he's walking right inside. That was enough manners. ]
[I'll do you one better and link you a picture!! The way the location description says that their rooms are always dingier than they'd be normally but his room is already so fucking sparse WHY IS HIS WINDOW CANONICALLY BROKEN. KANDA!!!!
The only nice(?) thing here is the lotus in an hourglass on the far table--it glows a bright pink, though several of the petals have fallen through to the bottom.
Aventurine can come inside, where he will find Kanda sitting on his bed; he's dressed down in a sleeveless shirt and comfortable pants, making the marks on his arms and the cracks all over his body even more visible than before. His hair is down, though there's a woven hair cord resting over the bandage on his wrist like a bracelet.
He looks up as Aventurine enters, brow furrowed, but before he can say anything part of his shoulder cracks and falls off. Damn.]
His gaze roams around the room for a second, momentarily pausing when they land on the hourglass, and then he's looking over at where Kanda sits in bed. Like, at least manifest a sofa. He's about to open his mouth to say something when he is very rudely interrupted by a piece of shoulder cracking off of Kanda.
I'm not writing him back. I already told him what mattered.
[Which was to get over here!!! Even though originally he asked because he wanted Lavi to look at the runes and that's not an issue anymore... it doesn't matter because now it's a personal desire and he will never admit that. But it did, admittedly, sting to have about 5 seconds of hoping one single thing would be okay just to find out it was fake.]
[At that, his jaw tightens, and he looks away--out the window, which shows only a dark, quiet forest. He doesn't really care if the other side would do better with Lavi over there. He isn't mature and selfless enough for that.]
They could've done better if they weren't so soft-hearted.
[OOCly they need people for trial and endgame, but Kanda doesn't know that, so he's irritated--about Ashlyn being left alive, about their numbers not being in the right place, all of it. About how long ago he wrote Lavi, how frustrating it was to be unable to speak freely with him on Wednesday, and each day he's woken up to see Lavi still in danger. All of it has built on the restlessness he's felt since finding out he couldn't do anything but sit around and wait to die, compounded by the events of the house--of even failing to save Kate, despite how hard he'd tried.]

Okay. ]
I thought you said you'd heal.
[ This doesn't seem like healing? ]

It will. This place is getting in the way. [TCH] But it hasn't gotten worse.
[And true to his word his shoulder will piece itself back together in a minute]

Anyway, since there is nowhere to sit, Aventurine is going to drop down to seat himself on the bed too. ]
You saw Lavi during your break-in, huh?

...Yes. [A little warily.] Why.

[ Doxxes Lavi, i guess except we all knew this. ]
