Kanda's immediately changing back into his normal clothes as soon as they get their stuff!! He's got a second long coat over the first one and his hair tied up in a ponytail. He also has his sword, which is unsheathed as he studies it, checking for damage.

He didn't mind talking to Cloud yesterday, so he glances over when he sees him and nods.]

He will sit a little ways away since he's not super interested in the sheep, instead petting Dani when the dog trots over.]

But Kanda is himself, and thus looks pretty normal instead of devastated like he fucking SHOULD BE!!! He's out in the woods, running through his sword forms. Why is Cloud out here we just don't know. It's fine. Kanda will pause long enough to nod in acknowledgment when he spots Cloud, which is more than most people get, honestly. Yo.]

Kanda is going to hate this week and will do his best to avoid everything and everyone, but unfortunately for him, crossing paths is unavoidable. Sooner or later, they'll run into each other, and Cloud gets to see a memory.

[ well! well. well. well, okay. maybe this is a crazy question to ask after witnessing someone die and revive over and over again, experimented and used, and he looks sick about it himself, clutching at his head and heaving like he felt it on his own, and maybe if he was stopped to think for a second he wouldn't even try to talk to kanda about it, but: ]

Week 4, Sunday

Puts this in the hot springs because I want at least one thread there. We're vibin. He might be starting to doze off a little because he's fucking exhausted but it's fine.

Also I will constantly forget but he has light burn scarring on his face and a missing ear from their trip!! Not that it's super visible right now since his hair is down for once.]

[ sets this after the flea debacle. i like to think they are genuinely just watching the smoldering remains of that debacle ]

You ever think about how incredibly stupid this place is?

[Kanda left trial several hours early and never came back, because sometimes you don't want people asking about your bad mood. If Cloud comes to look for him right after trial, he'll have to come knock on his apartment door; if he doesn't, they can cross paths when Kanda leaves for his nightly sword training. The cracks on his skin are all fixed now, thankfully.

Either way, he's still visibly not in a good mood. But he'll nod stiffly at Cloud... hello friend]

[ he would not knock on kanda's bedroom door because when he's in a mood he doesn't want to be knocked at and he assumes kanda is the same, but they are crossing paths ]

week 7, friday

[ cloud spots kanda out in town after he has killed a random flesh monster because silent hill is a nightmare but also it feels kind of good to let out murder energy when they cannot do shit right now except wait and it is driving him #Insane ]

[ he assumes kanda is feeling just as antsy about things tbh but yknow. ]

[Legit same though!!! If Kanda's not at the dojo, he's just going around town killing random monsters. Finally he can do his job... it's been bothering him a lot that he hasn't really managed to do that at all here, so despite all his complicated humanity-based emotions, he's ready to be un-nerfed and back to normal power.]

As long as nothing goes wrong with the rocks. [IMAGINE THE DE-NERF DOESN'T WORK. RIP TO THEM. He is focusing so hard on the upcoming fight that he's shoved aside any potential worry about the living side. What's done is done, anyway. They just have to work with what they've got.]
